My understanding is that Apple's terms of service are incompatible with the GPL. If you hold the copyright yourself though, you have no need to abide by the license and can distribute it on the App Store under different terms.

Yes, CNBC obviously seized on the number 10% to make it sound like a small number of people, but the top 10% of Americans includes over 25 million people. If we can't address inequality without inflaming envy then we're better off

Emacs kind of has this in the form of magit-wip-mode. It doesn't sync with the undo system but it does persist every file save event since the last "real" commit.

If you'd prefer the low-tech route, try this: Buy notecards for your thoughts and leave them in the book as you go. Then before you return it, review them to make sure you've captured enough context that they make sense without th

Check out Refold[1]. IMO it is the best place to learn how to acquire a second language. It's not an app or a course or anything. Its approach is almost all self-directed, but it lays out everything you need to do and provides a Discor

How about an app mall rather than an app store? Like F-Droid with multiple repositories (the "stores" in this metaphor), but also supporting authentication, paid apps, and store fronts to display recommendations and stuff.

Brave Sync would probably be a better fit. Brave is already built on top of Chromium, it's open source, and they recently "rebuilt [it] to be more directly compatible with the Chromium sync system" [1]. It's also E2EE an

The Catholic Church insists on modesty, for example. You won't find an outright ban on nudity, because what is considered modest can change depending on culture. However, if you are trying to remain chaste by avoiding pre-marital sex &
