Have you tried doing that yourself? It still doesn't tell me what Jolla is - is it a phone, a phone extension, a new OS, etc?

So I watched the video, and I still have no idea what Jolla is. I was not impressed by anything in the video, but that's besides the point. If you're a technology company, this hipster crap is ok, but you need to start with explai

So sell them at an exchange that doesn't suck at withdrawals. BTC is trivial to transfer.

All the good and short names under .com and .net are taken. I'd say we need a TLD for every dictionary noun to show the finger to the domain squatters.

If they pay for installs, why not? Nothing stops you from uninstalling it the next day.

Why did you click on it? Just ignore or downvote next time. Bitcoin is a hot topic these days, tons of people are interested in what's going on.

That's the cool thing about Bitcoin. You can create a wallet on a completely offline computer or even a virtual computer, save the address and the private key, and send the money to it. You only need the internet connection to do somet

If there are limits per-user and per-IP, they would need a shit ton of IPs to do that to any reasonable number of users.

Technically, there are black markets with high margins like that. But even in that case, why would they want to give these margins away to somebody else instead of giving a dollar to themselves.

Looks like they didn't rate-limit per-user, but only per-IP. Now that is dumb. I expected more from GitHub.

What's the point of the key stretching on the client side, if your stretched key gets sent to the server and is stored in plaintext. It adds no security. Server-side salting and hashing is the answer.

You haven't. Various estimates for the future BTC value range from $2,000 to $1,000,000.

Trades at the market price are instant. Withdrawal to a bank - depends on the method you use (SEPA, wire, etc) and the country you're in. From a few hours to a few days.

Yeah, you just register on an exchange, deposit your BTC, trade them into USD and withdraw USD. I just did this with BTC-E.com today.

There are many compelling arguments for not using your real name, you don't have to go nearly extreme. Express your political or religious views, your boss sees it, doesn't like it, you get fired or the promotion goes to somebody

Because it's not the bitcoin that was broken, but the software that interacted with a wallet that had too much money in it. Smart exchanges keep most of the money in an offline wallet.

@Jach: I specifically addressed electricity costs in my original comment. My point was, you can make BTC even with a shitty CPU. Whether it's worth it is a different question.

@Jach: Seriously, you can. Just based on your comment alone: > an i7 with free electricity mining all the time at 8 MH/s would make about 9 US cents in a month This means at the current rate you will make 0.09/470 = 0.0

Seriosuly, like a week ago Top Comments would display the actual top comments, as in highest-rated. Then they switched it to most-replied-to. Now it just shows random crap, definitely not sorted in any meaningful way.
