I think that actual people interested in some topic and having some expertise in it filter out misinformation better than Facebook and Twitter will ever do. Persons repost news from less trusted sources such as news sites with their opinion

Please don't ask such questions. Parent comment already has positive score, but your comment remains. There is actually a rule saying you should't do this on https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html : "

"Fake news" is simply an excuse for introducing government control of media, which leads to political censorship. Otherwise government would not care about it more than average citizen do.

We , don't, it is the guys who have money to pay for writing such articles. The problem is automated newsfeed, which makes users read "recommended" content and ads instead of allowing them to choose which sources they trust.

Here is the actual post by Leonid Volkov, already linked in this thread: https://www.facebook.com/leonid.m.volkov/posts/1935274903161... Seems like it is a misinterpretation or just sloppy wording on Reuters side.

The videos are not removed and access is not terminated. The advertisement campaign is terminated, that's all. Surely you have to backup your data, but this case has nothing to do with information access.

But videos don't violate election silence because pension changes is not even a matter of regional government.

It is important that neither videos nor demonstration against proposed pension changes have anything to do with the vote. Vote is simply an excuse used by the government to silence protest.

You say you "don't see the problem" because you see no way to fix things. The problem does not cease to be a problem because of that.

Then it is not we who need a change in the enforcement methods. We still need a change in copyright laws.

If we cannot find better applications for so-called AI than bullshit like sorting photo albums and military applications, maybe we should not do it at all? I am still sure there are enough industrial, medical and civil applications for Goog

It does not have to be regulated by any third-party, though. Federated networks participants can regulate networks for themselves. Look at Mastodon network. If some server tolerates spamming, it will be blocked by major servers as a whole.

All crypto is weak until proven otherwise. Telegram never received a good review from cryptographers. The fact that no POC was provided may just as well mean no cryptographer cares enough to find a bug.
