This may be akin to the craze of fear of terrorism that swept the general public after September 11th. I found that craze to be entirely irrational, but it would hardly be appropriate for the same individuals to see their kids as being par

We need 4DWW - Four Day Work Week . This would give all of us the much-needed day to catch up on administrative stuff, so we can have our weekends back for relaxing. We will have time for side projects again. Fight for 4DWW !!!

You're right there would be an adjustment; but in my estimate, much of it would likely be beneficial too: e.g. a Yoga business has more customers because people have more free time now.

The "of course, pay was lower" isn't what the 4DWW movement is fighting for though: it's about having 1 fewer day of work with no increase in hours and no loss of pay. Productivity has been going up for half a century no

We all need a 4DWW - Four Day Work Week -- it will do wonders for very many people, and will likely help all of us.

Side note: 4DWW - Four Day Work Week would do a tremendous amount of good in reducing stress. Currently I don't have enough time for life: I'm tired after work, one of the weekends is a chore day (catching up on life stuff), whe

Whenever thinking about density and prices, a worthwhile example to consider is Tokyo. Very dense, but housing prices are very affordable. Part of the reason, as I understand, is that Tokyo allows people to keep building (compare to San Fra

Thank you for sharing specifics. I'm guessing fewer than 50% of the houses in USA are of the two types you mention - most homeowners, I think, live in regular suburban sprawl under township rules. I suspect most of those communities wo

My sense is that most people do not have enough time and or energy to try to change laws. The status quo is absurd. If there was some weird law on the books that made all these lawn-only requirements go away in 2024, how many people do you

The big problem is that, as far as I can tell, the status quo is too pervasive. I can't find statistics, but I strongly suspect it's far fewer than 30% of of houses listed for sale which are in places that do not require lawns.
