I tried using their JS package but it changes every couple of weeks in very breaking ways... on top of that it's a huge package that took up most of my CF Worker's space allowance

Notion and Vercel, back in the day. You'd talk to some engineer at Notion helpig them file a bug and reproduce it, and a week later it'd be fixed. You'd get Guillermo Rausch looking through your project on Github to find what

how does "Get your engineering SOC2 compliant early" jive with "Do things that don't scale"? Isn't cleaning up your engineering act an act of premature optimization?

What kind of innovation had competitive advantages in the previous booms? Did building Facebook or Twitter have any inherent technical or competitive moats, or could anyone else also build those at the time?

I wrote a couple of toy FastAPI apps (not production) and I'm happy with Fly.io. Apparently they have lots of downtime issues, but I've never run into them (yet)

All bacterial growth hits "stationary phase" at some point before collapsing, and he seems to miss that most empires and companies do the same.

I'm still surprised by most of my tech/design/startup friends who don't want or like using GPT-4 to get work done or even for small stuff like cooking and planning. We'll be ok.

There are tons of counter-examples to his argument — that successful organizations (and organisms) don't require exponentially unchecked growth. Do those mean either his argument is wrong, or those examples are outliers? (Examples: Mai

This is super interesting because you’ll end up with different people with different opinions on “what is the best answer” if they all have different experiences. Most of us when using LLMs feel it should only produce the one correct answer
