A fun way to think about this is by analyzing the 'training-time' for these tasks. The things we think are easy, we've been trained to do through millions of years of evolution. Running with two feet through a forest is prett

I think you're in agreement! In 2012 you could run Java in the browser. Not so much in 2018.

I think you grossly overestimate how much latency another variable to the decision logic would add. Keep in mind that this is computed onboard, not by bluetooth to the phone or anything. So it can be done by a dedicated chip checking 100 ti

I wouldn't make the assumption that millenials spend significantly more than that on the app. It's certainly possible, I guess. But as I commute to work and back (hour by bus or train) - it's often 35+ aged people who have th

Agreed. The samples sound identical to how many of my friends in Southern California speak. Some with hispanic heritage, some without. A slightly more open 'a' vowel, and a slightly different stressings on some syllables. I wouldn

Your concern for less-than-perfect sighted users is laudable - however, there are accessibility specifications for contrast you can adhere to (4.5:1 I believe), to ensure your text is readable, without having to go #000 black on #fff white

When you say it that way, it sounds impressive, but the population is ~11% of the US (36/320), so it seems reasonable they have ~11% the output of the US (90/770).

It only supports Node v8 (which sounds like an upside to me). The main difference is that you can't customize the run time image.

I always hear how USB-C is such a mess, and everyone agrees - I just wanted to quickly provide a counter anecdote. As a user, who knows nothing about the protocol or the politics or anything else - USB-C works wonderfully for me - I only wi

Of course you can compare them! They're both phones with a notch! You can also separately compare their face detection capability. But that doesn't disallow you from saying one notch is smaller than the other.

I'm not sure I understand how having a flat body roll is worse than normal, in terms of passenger tiltiness. Ideally, the car would bank, rolling opposite. Then the force of the turn would push you into your seat, rather than out of it

If you consider yourself having more sophisticated, artistic taste in movies, you may reserve the term 'film' for those. For the movie snob, Casablanca is a film, Spiderman 4 is a movie. Nothing too wrong with making that separati

The subtitle: > The idea that authoritarianism attracts workers harmed by the free market, which emerged when the Nazis were in power , has been making a comeback. Makes me disappointed for the state of discourse that occurs today.

Week days I average 6 hours a night. Wake up 6:20am, generally I fall asleep at midnight to 12:40am. However, I commute an hour by bus, so I get a bit more sleep there and back usually. But definitely not REM sleep, so I'm not sure wha
