Statistically speaking, it could be a due to randomness, but that depends on the test statistics. I'd check the maths if I had any doubt about the conclusion ;)

I'd guess it's all about individual vs collective progress. I've realized that places with homogeneous demographics (e.g. nordics) are usually those interested in solving what you call basic problems while the focus tends tow

It can sure help, but then, as a company, you might want to find a way to avoid the regulation to keep the price low if that's what your customers care about. Maybe some form of labelling could have a greater real impact: let the custo

I agree, it always comes down to how much the buyer cares about anything other than the price paid. Markets/companies care about whatever their customers care, and the way customers vote/express themselves is with their dollars. W

Agree, this is how I somehow ended up using bash/vim for all my needs. I realized it wasn't "normal" when I saw my boss' face as he watched me typing. And it keeps compounding :)

I agree with you, but I don't see how priority isn't about a binary choice though. I forgot cocoa has health benefits, should have used cigarettes as example.

Not the OP but "If you can’t buy it, don’t!" might mean not owning/renting it. Either buy it or don't even think about it.

Unless you assume that everything/anything is a constant, stochastic processes are everywhere. They happen to be used a lot in finance and physics, since real world phenomena can be intuitively modeled as a random process, in contrast

L'académie is a ridiculous concept. How come some elite literates tell people how to speak? It's like if there was one way only to solve a programming problem, and that's rarely the case.

Indeed, cubicles make no sense. Being able to work remotely is a competitive advantage and those for whom the physical office is a must will have to fight hard for it.
