Google is free for users and free to anyone wanting to get in their index, so they do not owe any self proclaimed competitor anything and that is the crux of it, the law is on their side, you cannot monopolize "free" and all this politician

These senators seemed ignorant about pretty much everything involved. And as for Mr. Schmidt he should have started by saying that Google is free, it's free for users and for those wanting to be indexed by them so they don't owe any self pr

You assume that tools aren't part of human evolution but they certainly are and modem tools are no exception. I assume the cognitive powers used for memorizing trivia will be reallocated to something else, they won't go away.

There is a pattern with these posts, as it's interesting that just before Google announces a major release someone publishes this sort of piece, either criticizing Google on privacy issues or competitive issues or describing a product as st

It is a stupid panicy law to begin with, the politicians who came up with it didn't think of the consequences, they just went on with their grandstandings. As for it's exceptions they are too vague and troublesome to scale for millions of u

So? that doesn't stop the other browsers (and it shouldn't). Google isn't the dominant player there and they can do whatever they want to grab market share, there is nothing wrong with that.
