Would be very glad if anyone explained to me if and why this is revolutionary.

I was just recently thinking about how we have built a lot of abstractions that makes it easier for a human to do useful stuff but they usually come with their own set of trade-offs. And now in the LLM era, there's is less and less jus

As others mentioned retyping is not fun. My approach is to let it write the code, but only in small portion. Not "implement this feature". But "open this file and make these changes". Each small change is easily reviewab

The benchmarks are not particularly impressive. I suppose they needed to release something since the long pause. But not clear why would I use it now.

I suppose it's a good time to encourage people trying out pi[1] with any cheap model from the openrouter rankings page[1]. [1] https://pi.dev/ [2] https://openrouter.ai/rankings

I keep thinking about at which point I should not force myself into the loop. As a developer I really like working on the code structure, making it clearer, thinking about good abstraction, breaking into modules, etc. I really take pleasure

I can only applaud. Regardless of whether this device is possible, or economically viable, this is a brave move and a bold vision. Taking bigger risks is what what makes the advances possible.

Exactly. It was looking as though Apple understood this. But now they gave in and called it Siri AI.

Exactly this. You can't have a competitive industry while at the same time heavily redistributing wealth to the point where people don't have any incentives at all.

> A total of €13.5 million has been allocated to the project. This is not even funny. If you want a competitive AI industry, you need to invest much more heavily in infrastructure first, building models second.

$60b is crazy. Cursor is an extension for VS Code, a harness and a bunch of prompts. They have their own model (Composer 2) which is based Kimi K2.5, but I don't think SpaceX would be interested in it. If they need a harness for grok,

I grown up in the 1990s, so as a teen I had access to the wild west of the decentralized internet in all its scary glory. It was pretty cool. But nowadays as a parent I see, instagram, tiktok are much more scarier for the damage they make p

I was wondering how does Anthropic and likes keep competitive when Opus is ($5 / $25) 5x times more expensive compared to Kimi K2.6 ($0.7 / $3.4) or other Chinese models, while being only marginally better. My theory is that US en

It seems that Anthropic is winning the competition with OpenAI. But, supposedly, OpenAI is sitting on a similar model, it might be their chance to win back some users by releasing a less-nerfed model, and market it specifically from that po

Is there any evidence Mythos is qualitatively better than the Opus 4.x? I'm afraid that the usual mantra that "we just need more scale" that worked well for attracting investments, is not working anymore - bigger models provi

Right, but why attacking AI specifically? I just don’t buy the example, she could use a book with recepies instead of calling her friend, right? Maybe she just doesn’t want to call her friend this time, you know, and maybe it doesn’t make h

Be sure to use a mobile phone when making your next, I don’t know, meal plan, for example. Definitely do not come in person to your friend who loves to cook and ask her for her favorite recipes or tips or ways to save time making meals
