Reigning in costs on the CEO doesn’t mean we need to swing to the other side of the spectrum and commit fraud and portray some image as the CEO. Hopefully you are doing a tongue in cheek commentary

It just occurred to me Netflix has a great history of finding ways to screw workers. They famously are the first company to go with “unlimited vacation” so as to not have any money on the books and also screw employees from taking a vacatio

Deepmind is a great name, Google should over index on that. Bard on the other hand is an unfortunate name, may be they should have just called it deepmind instead.

This is great. I always thought OpenAI's dominance/prominence will be short lived and it will see a lot of competition. Does anyone know how they "feed" the input to the AI in the demo here? Looks like there is an API to

This has nothing to do with the iMessage protocol itself. Invisible messages looks like a bug, as it depends on the current UI and rendering repercussions. May be if you file a bug on them they may respond.

If Sam is self serving and a master tactician, it doesn’t bode well for AI ethics and responsibility. Who am I kidding, that ship has sailed a long time ago. However I really hope Sam doesn’t turn into another Elon musk

Yep they know the moment they figured out extra fees they changed the whole reservation flow to minimize defaults and turned a lot of previously unthinkable items into paid add-ons. Every airline across every segment of travel now does this

The article makes some statements that feel like conjectures rather than facts. For example “likely many to move to msft” and more significantly “PPUs will be refreshed with MSFT stock and 10mil salaries”.

What a shitshow! What is going on in this company? I am sure Sam did something wrong, but the board took advantage of it and went overboard then? We don’t know anything that happened and we are all somehow participating in this drama? At th

OpenAI has enough momentum and built enough moat that Sam Altman cannot replicate it. If he can actually replicate it and over take openai, then the business itself has no legs as it will be easily commoditized and any moat nullified in no

Ah this is the straw that breaks the back of the ethics/responsible AI camel’s back. When Sam comes back he will turn it into a regular company and maximize profits.

It’s inline with the 30% fee apple takes for their App Store. Search from iOS is probably more valuable and a lot lot higher volume than any app. Essentially search is “installed” and used on all iOS devices in the world. So 36% seems ok

So they should ban instagram too. I have a feeling tiktok is probably more moderated and enforces stricter content rules than instagram. Of course may be tiktok is just more popular and so has the target on it.
