Sadly, it's MacOS-only. Would be nice to have something Qt or GTK-based.

Just installed OpenBSD 7.0 on Raspberry Pi 3b+ for testing purposes. Latest version supports and work with all devices out of the box including WiFi. It required to install brcm firmware manually with pkg_add though. The rest was smooth.

I hope not, at least until they solve it being Apple-only. Of course, there's some support for other platforms but it's pretty bad. At this point it's better to invest time and money to the Rust ecosystem.

iSH is a wasted battery and performance. I don't get why they emulate x86 and not just use Alpine ARMv8 version instead.

Unlike MacOS, iPadOS doesn't allow you to run binaries that you just compiled from source. So it's no-go for any compiled language.

I wish they would extract their GUI layer as some framework. It's so good that would be perfect for many programs.

It's more of a problem in pure text apps rather than the Web. For example, in editors (not the rich text ones), console, interface elements. But yes, it is a problem for people who knows (or learns) and uses multiple languages at once,

Java is an Android's curse. Just compare how completely native iOS and iPadOS beat it in terms of speed and power saving. I hope they will get rid of the Java remnants completely and focus on the native toolchain, frameworks, system li

Just leave .NET for enterprise and move on to the newer languages and frameworks, like Rust, for example. In case of F# - OCaml.

I should also note that modern Visual Studio is way too heavy. Just compare it with another leader of commercial IDEs - JetBrains. Now, with latest Clion and Rider they rival VS while being more modern and sleeker. Not to say they are cross
