How did you determine that? There are infinitely many solutions that follow all laws of Newtonian mechanics. The burden of proof is yours to show uniqueness of a solution here, which I'm certain you cannot do with the canonical Newtoni

Except Newtonian mechanics doesn't say anything about causation, it simply says which equations are valid solutions. Most people find it counter-intuitive, but it's totally possible for multiple solutions to exist in the Newtonian

Except classical physics doesn't really tackle causation, and you'll find that Newtonian mechanics is not deterministic: http://www.pitt.edu/~jdnorton/Goodies/Dome/

Fair point. I guess there's another assumption, that the rings are built at a constant rate. In fact, if we make the typical assumption that the economy grows exponentially (which might hold for all but the longest term models), it cou

That's also assuming that the thickness of each ring is constant. If they increased the thickness by a certain percentage relative to the previous band, then you'd have exponential growth.

I think most proponents of UBI agree that the value should be tied to inflation, updated on a regular schedule (I advocate monthly). This would guarantee that UBI doesn't go "out of date".

That's not how Land Value Tax (LVT) works, at least under the economic theories I'm familiar with. And there's this quote[1]: "Because the supply of land is essentially fixed, land rents depend on what tenants are prepar

It seems my friends who vote on intuition are the ones likely to already vote -- by getting higher turnout you might actually reduce their proportion of the vote. Don't shoot yourself in the foot on this one.
