As someone that's been watching the process fairly closely, that's not my read on the situation. I think it's moreso just a new technology that takes time to perfect, and Ethereum is a large ship, hence "changing course&

Yup. I imagine it's similar to the inventory shortfalls ledger experienced a few years ago during the cryptocurrency price runup. I made a nice chunk of change placing bulk orders from Ledger, waiting a month for them to ship, and forw

I have gone down a similar path twice now, and also landed on the Thinkpad X1, due to a mix of QC concerns, low screen resolution, and bulky looking laptop. My main concern about Framework is QC, and making a sleek laptop (something that I

I've been using Ubuntu for years now, and honestly it's pretty set and forget at this point. Main caveat is that you should do a little bit of research beforehand to ensure it will work well. It still has some quirks at time, but

To me Coinbase has basically become a USD -> USDC onramp - everything else they provide can be done on decentralized exchanges in a way that is both cheaper, and (at least once you get used to the system) easier.

When you are sending with a credit card, you are not sending it anywhere near "instantly". The receiving end pays a 2-3% fee, and doesn't actually get access to the funds for anywhere from a few days to a month later. And eve

In the US, I don't think you can write-off a space that's used for work, even if it's exclusive use, if you are a w2 employee. Please correct me if I'm wrong though, because I have a dedicated room for my office, and wou

It depends on how much downside risk you are okay with taking. If you want something relatively cash like, ibonds are an interesting option - their rate of return is updated to the latest inflation measurement every 6 months. If you are oka

Key word being "can". On average securities have a much better return than bonds, but they also have a much higher risk of a large drop in value.

Because in addition to receiving their at cost payment, they'd also receive a fixed monthly fee. The power supplier would essentially sell call options to the electricity retailer.

But most electricity retailers just set a fixed price for electricity completely disconnected from the actual costs. I'm specifically wondering if it's possible to allow for wholesale purchasing, but set a cap at something like $1

Or, is there a way for these customer facing companies to hedge against this risk via options, and utilize this to set a price cap (passing on a small monthly fee to the customer)?

I imagine "fairly rapidly" means a few months rather than a few weeks, in which case delaying the second dose from 4 weeks to 8 weeks won't cause any dramatic dips (this is all conjecture though).

But that does seem to imply that 2 weeks post the first shot (assuming the second shot will be given soon after), folks are pretty much at maximum immunity.

I keep hearing this repeated in threads about Bitcoin, and it's just flat out wrong. Bitcoin's energy usage does not scale based on the number of transactions. Its energy usage scales based upon the value of the block reward and t
