Buying very well might be a better option for you, but there are downside you aren't listing from owning: * high transactions costs (if you decide to move after a few years, say goodbye to all of those savings) * lower liquidity (if yo

I've noticed this as well - for house rentals in my area, the size seems to scale with price, and there doesn't seem to be anyway to scale up quality (there are some exceptions to this, but it's mostly true).

Honestly, it is a decent use case. Sell NFTs that grant the owner the right to play / use a certain song, movie, ebook, etc. Ideally have some sort of file storage layer that only grants the ability to stream the content if you own the

How has lightning network re-invented paypal? One is a custodial way to store and transfer money, another is a decentralized non-custodial way to store and transfer money. It couldn't be more different.

Is that true over short time periods for stocks though? I get the sense that publications / news media can come up for reasoning on why a stock went up or down after it occurred, but I'm not convinced it's truly causation in

Interestingly, some crypto assets do have revenue streams. Ex: uniswap has an optional cut that their governance token can take of fees, and their fees aren't minuscule ($5M over the past 24 hours). Other assets like Ethereum can be st

I hear this statement repeated often, but it's really not true. Even if lightning network channels ended up pooling to larger liquidity providers for efficiency reasons (less channels of larger size), you still are not ever giving up c

A good example of that [0]. Amazon is quoted as saying that hourly employees prefer the "predictability and immediacy of cash to RSUs", and I imagine Amazon would prefer to give RSUs, so this is probably accurate. [0] https:/
