The "opposite sex" isn't a monolithic bloc. You could police your identity to make yourself attractive to someone that you need to hide yourself from for the rest of your life, but it's a tremendous waste of energy. Find

If you could live in a detached home but the next block over had a restaurant or two and a small grocery, wouldn't that be pleasant? Zoning that allows ONLY single-family detached housing, and no retail or business, forces car-dependen

This is what some people call "the singularity" - once an intelligence can upgrade itself it can design better machines than we can, which can design better machines than they can... technology will leap ahead at a rate we won

From my POV Apple has bent over backward to prevent the "stalker" use case, to such a degree that it degrades the "stolen item" use case.

I thought California law (for now) forced utilities to provide "net metering" - where your credits during the day offset your usage at night 1:1. No batteries needed. I don't know why that wouldn't apply to your friend.

IMO the e-scooter app + sharing model solved the parking and storage problem in a way that Segway did not. You don't need a bike room at work or secure bike parking at the restaurant / movie theater / bar if you can park it a

I haven't used an online service for this, but I write a lot of server APIs for mobile games. It helps to think of the server call as "just an async function that takes type A and returns type B." Your client's ServerCon

There are many clothing drop-boxes near me (SF bay area). They make claims to charity; they sell the clothing and give 10% of the proceeds to a charity. The other 90% goes to the company that owns the box.
