If you go to Ebert's wikipedia, you can almost miss the link to the screenplay he wrote: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyond_the_Valley_of_the_Dolls This was co-produced with Russ Meyer, who basically made a bunc

I used to feel, despite knowing how much harm the US has caused around the world, that I was lucky to be born American. Shamefully, I knew that deep down it was better to be born in the US than in a slum in Rio or Calcutta. Now, I question

I love litestream. I've used it with pocketbase and it works. sqlite is a great building block for almost everything. Does anyone know whether you could use this to stitch together a bunch of .db files (that share the same schema) in a

Does this indicate running locally with a very small (quantized?) model? I am very interested in finding ways to combine skills + local models + MCP + aider-ish tools to avoid using commercial LLM providers. Is this a path to follow? Or, so

She is in the news a lot right now. I couldn't really understand why her involvement in the investigation of voter fraud in GA is a story until I read that it is really strange that she, as DNI, is involved in an FBI investigation. Tha

Are you ok with the size of the budget these agencies control? Are you ok with it being headed by a guy who never has denied he took a $50k bribe from the FBI and wasn't even the initial target of an investigation? I would bet you $100

My 85 year old mom lives in Portland and she attends rallies frequently. If you know of any way to support you or other local people doing this work, I'm very interested. My email is on my profile page. I have a friend who is in Minnea

Maybe I don't understand, but the tailscale Linux clients definitely supports multiple accounts. I use that to reach multiple headscale networks and a tailscale one. No issues for me using it this way.

Whoa, that's the story! I don't see that referenced in the 404media story, do you have a link/summary for that?

He just misspoke slightly. What he meant to say: "What we will defend: using chaos, riots, and volatility as cover to escalate violence against peaceful protesters."

I came here to say this. I switched to forgejo after self hosting gitlab for years, and haven't missed anything. The article mentions the container registry as a prime feature of gitab. Forgejo has this, btw. In addition, speed (of eve

Can I opt out of using my taxes to create memes? If Trump wants to use his cryptocurrency to shill for Truth Social I suppose I can't really complain. But, why do I have to pay for the department of meme wars?

I have to say, I'm enthralled by your two comments and what you've shared. My favorite director is Richard Linklater, mainly because his storytelling is incredible, but at a close second is the way he has pushed the boundaries of

This is my question, and why not go a step further and just self host foregjo? Forgejo is a single go binary and very fast. You can script it using an API, you have full access to the database which can be sqlite3 or postgres. Then you get

Why can't you use an issue tracker that is built into the git control, like forgejo? It feels like it would be easy to use this with an API key, out or direct database access (I'm doing both with agents). If you self host, you&#x2

The takeaway from these comments are that you can really run local models if you use m-series devices from apple. But, can you do that if you install Linux on that hardware? I hate to admit apple hardware is incredible. But, I can't sa

Well, Candace Owens and Valhalla VFT are talking about exactly those things and the MSM is saying their concerns are baseless. I can't believe I actually watched Candace Owens discuss some of this stuff, I shudder to write that.
