I've spent a lot of time trying to get pytorch working inside docker against cuda. That's a big challenge even just on one architecture. It isn't as simple as you make it to be and they have to determine how they allocate res

$40b is $1000 per Argentine (pop 40m). I bet US soybean farmers would be happier to get that money themselves to offset their losses. But, of course, that money isn't going to Argentines directly, it is going to shore up US investors i

If anyone is wondering, the Dockerfile for this repo (thanks for sharing!) basically just copies the binary in, it is a 19 line dockerfile. I see both sides of the argument here, the people maintaining minio should not have to push docker i

I've neglected paying for Wired, even though they are doing incredible reporting work. I finally clicked on the link today, and it is only $24 for a year with a 30 day free trial. That's a great value and I'm proud to support

My 8 and 10 year old daughters love this site, often choosing it over Roblox during screen time. This is stunning and perfect.

I don't really get a sense from the repo and the very sparse readme how and at what cost I could build one of these. There isn't a pricing page so I'm assuming this is diy, build it yourself, right?

How is this surviving the HN hug of death? Why is this not bigger than skibidi toilet? I have three kids, two girls and one boy. My son loves skibidi toilet, but my girls outnumber him and they've NEVER told me about this.

Wait, I thought that, according to Mike Johnson, if I joined the No Kings rally that I was supporting Hamas? I'm also supporting criminal hacking groups? I'm a single issue voter so I'm struggling with what to do now.

I went into Target yesterday with my daughters. There was a half wall of skibidi toilet merch. Right underneath the Mr. Beast merch. I've seen a video or two of skibidi toilet, and it looks like something a 14 year old boy would make a

Am I wrong if this feels like high frequency trading bots here, doing their own dubious things (within the bounds of the law, but not the spirit), got baited into doing something stupid and someone smarter took advantage of that stupidity.
