This does not seem to have anything to do with Angular at all. This looks like the typical case of the website that was shipped out the door as soon as possible without any accessibility concerns, that have to be shoehorned afterwards. This

I would try to launch the first version of the product on your free time and take it from there. Take a week of holiday to work full time on it, maybe on a quiet week at work with a holiday on on the middle of the week. With one week full t

Yeah that's true. It would only work if you already left the previous job. Then I will switch that to a full day. You do a concrete and well-defined task that the team will review. Not ideal but probably much more useful than the curre

One good way would be to make the person come for a week and give them the chance to do a couple of simple initial coding tasks. Something self-contained that you would normally give to a newcomer in the team.

Its not useful skill to code in a whiteboard, drawing diagrams maybe? Even that how often does it happen.

I don't, because its an unrealistic situation that has nothing to do with real work. Its selecting the candidate by its handwriting. Almost as bad is ask to code in ms word to someone used to use an IDE for years.

I find asking a developer to write code on a whiteboard or word document to make not much sense. I was asked how many bytes are there in x amount of space, which i find as not much to do with competence in software development. A follow up

You would get more replies by giving a couple concrete examples. This is culture dependent, but the feedback that is most well received is the one someone asked for. Are you providing a lot of unsolicited feddback on other peoples work? Tha

For me the main problem is not the recruiting, its a service worth paying for. The problem is when the recruitment company becomes the employer by inserting themselves in the middle via a services contract and asking 25% for the life of the

Its I believe mostly a sales tactic where they make you do some significant investment on your side, and when you get to end you feel more obliged to take the position because of all the effort that you put into it in the first place.

Navigating procurement departments does not add any value to anything. In the age of the internet, if a company needs some resources then the hiring manager could place the job description directly in some website instead of asking a recrui

The idea sounds good but the landing page is still very raw. The logo is cool, I would extend the use of the logo colors to the rest of the page.

I dont think anyone would be happy with such a lopsided agreement. Its borderline extorsion, it does not happen at this scale in many more professions. Developers are really taken advantage of by these intermediary companies that add no val

For me charging 25% to the contractor for the live of the contract is completely unjustifiable just for posting a job in some site and some emails and phone calls.

OK thanks, I see that that could have been what was meant. But in my view there is no apparent co-relation between top commenters or rates. Most HN posters are likely anonymous independently of their rates, as in most programming forums.

I agree, it also means at least somewhat security aware. Posting anonymously seems mostly common sense, almost everybody in the internet does it.

But then they should charge a fixed fee, and not charge 25% for the live of the contract just for posting a job on some site, sending a few mails and doing a few phone calls. It's advised to only post rates anonymously to protect again

Just to understand, why do you believe using an anonymous handle skews the results downward? Most persons use anonymous handles online, except on places like facebook its a generalized practice. I personally don't see the correlation b

For most of us too, ORM is the day to day reality. But a graph database could be potentially a better default fit for DDD, for projects starting from scratch.
