Can you elaborate? I have been using GreenShot for ages now and haven't had a single issue with it. It works perfectly well on my 4K monitor. What issues are you experiencing?

Agreed! I also use DECT based headset (Poly i.e. ex-Plantronics - recently acquired by HP) and it is amazingly good. Range up to f*ckintillion meters (anywhere within the house or garden basically), up to 8 hours use on a single charge (I r

I was a heavy Google Reader user. When it disappeared, I switched to NewsBlur. NewsBlur is great but it lacks one particular feature: an RSS feed for a folder of blogs. (or a category of blogs, potato - potahto) So I switched to self-hosted

My personal record is 11 months on Mint. I have also used Ubuntu, Fedora and (a long time ago) SUSE. But as you say, sooner or later something comes up that forces me to go back to Windows. Things like poor GPU performance for certain appli

I've been using their 42 inch monitor for a couple of years now. Before that, I worked on a curved 50 inch Samsung TV but it was a bit too large. 42 inches is a sweet spot for me. 2-monitor setups suck. If I had to go multi, I'd a

I faced the same issue. Turns out, you need to disable ad-blocker in order to be able to sign-up with a Google account.

I have both YubiKey and SMS 2FA active on my Google account. However, for SMS purposes I got an extra phone number that nobody knows (well, nobody but me, Google and my phone provider) and that is inactive except when (A) I need to use it f

I have been using Vivaldi for years now, on mobile (Android). Gave up after their recent update. Why? Because they changed the layout of the "reload" button. Previously, I could simply double-tap the "V" menu to reload t

This vividly reminds me of "The Washing Machine Tragedy", a story in the "Memoirs of a Space Traveller" book by Stanisław Lem. Highly recommended to any fan of house automation.

I agree - the list is truly impressive. I ran a quick spot-check and it looks like most of these blogs are of medium to low activity. Having 1000 blogs in your RSS reader with an average of 1 article per month per blog results in reading 3

As I work mostly on MSSQL Server, the sweet spot for me is SSMS with RedGate SQL Prompt. For non-MSSQL things, it's usually DBeaver. No need for a new IDE for me.

I've been using TC since when NC was a thing. Got a proper license for it some 10 years ago, when I could finally afford it. One of the most irreplaceable bits of software ever (at least for me).
