The GPT-4 answer is only better in so far as it uses RunTransaction. I don't know why it's trying to loop through the stores and then running the i'th operation on that store when it could have just had the store referenced i

Maybe I should have rephrased it. There are fun ways to live a life without emitting a bunch of carbon just as there are tasty ways to cook vegetables. It's just that people don't want to and more importantly, governments don'

It's pretty easily done too. It's just that it's not a very fun thing to do. Like eating vegetables. It's pretty easily done but that doesn't mean everyone does it.

There are some things that you can only do once everyone has boarded and skipping steps in the checklist is a recipe for disaster.

Ironically Tor is mostly funded by the US government. 80% in 2012. They are still a significant donor however I'm not sure if the percentage is still so high.

If the default setting is to enable the feature, then the feature isn't opt-in because the user didn't "opt" (ie, choose) to enable it. For a feature to be opt-in, the user must explicitly choose/opt to enable it. O

The way I see it, taxes are disincentives on bad behavior. So if you tax high value property more then it hurts people who want to improve their properties.

Great can be defined in many ways. If you want the flexibility of a private plane on a much cheaper budget and you're traveling alone which seems like the case for a lot of business travel then this does sound like a great option.

Just because everyone is doing it doesn't make it any less insane. I think there needs to be some sort of regulation around clauses like that. Companies should be allowed to terminate services but if they're going to do that then

I think we're in agreement. But the original commenter was stating that all companies die or change given a long enough timeline so criticizing a company for dying/changing is pointless since that happens to everyone.

That might be true but it's a very nihilistic way to look at things. I believe SO had many more successful years ahead of it but decisions taken by the company and moderators sped that process up.

Cabs are an idea. Uber is a company. I can't think of any company that I'd predict to last 100 years. Even Google and Apple probably won't last 100 years. I honestly wouldn't even bet on cars being a dominant form of tra

There's a big difference in complexity of predriving and having to make minor adjustments vs automatic routing and planning. Kind of like how most cars can do adaptive cruise control but getting full self driving is still a ways out.

I believe this is true in terms of the amount of money in the market, but do search ads actually work? I can't imagine them being even half as effective as banner ads or video ads or native ads. So why is it such a big business?

Taxes are set at a multiple levels (federal, state, district, and city) so it's pretty much impossible to show the post tax price on the label. Hidden fees are a completely different issue.
