I haven't seen Quinetic before. This is ever smarter than the solution in the article. Just use the kinetic energy of the press, rather than collecting ambient energy. Seems more reliable. OTOH limits what kind of switches can be used.

Every day I need to add a new feature to my app, I am grateful I picked fly (serverful) rather than Vercel. The fact that as far as I'm concerned, it's just a computer, is incredibly useful. We've added long-running tasks, ba

Damn I remember this. The feeling of booting up a full GUI system with PPP dialing and a browser off of a 1.44MB disk was incredible. I played with it for days.

>Extism isn't something special compared to any other open source project in this domain Well, ok, can you give me an example of some other project doing this sort of interop without manual memory mapping?

Thanks. I'm not sure how this maps to the original example, though. This is about compiling a standalone program which translates POSIX apis, it seems? How about calling it from Rust with string args etc?

A friend of mine recently asked me the dreaded "How do i get into programming". I pointed them to easylang.dev! Thank you for making easylang, I plan to use it to teach anyone new to coding.

I've only briefly played around with Godot, but how does one get type-assisted autocomplete on variables and methods? Is there a type-hinting for the IDE? Kind of broke it for me. Maybe I should've tried C#.

What a strange take. Why does it matter what it found? Why are you okay with any tracking whatsoever as a user?

Yeah, vi mode is a must for me at this point. I have the readline shortcuts on a post-it on my monitor for the odd time i find myself in a sqlite repl or something.

Dude its pretty clear what it does just from scrolling down the readme. “Its just like php” if that helps you, but you can also write frontend state management and dynamic behavior right there in the “template”, all in Python.

Got it, thanks. As I understand it, it's like Redwood (with great defaults and libs included) but only for the frontend. I think that's an important niche for sure.
