Does attempting to delete generate an error page of some sort? If so, you could try triggering it over and over again, as quickly as you can, for at least 10-15 minutes. This will cause their error rate to spike, and likely get the attentio

I got bitten recently by AWS documentation. Several pages strongly imply something to be true, which in practise was 100% false. If I'd wanted to make a living reading text between the lines to work out how they're trying to fuck

That sounds fascinating. Where can I learn more? Other than writing the same data out to multiple tapes, do you have any capacity for redundancy, should a tape go bad?

This is actually exactly the case I was thinking of. We have a few applications that use vault in a much more in-depth way than fetching a couple of secrets, so have the need to interact with it directly. We then have the much more common

Doing this with eBPF is definitely an improvement, but when I look at some of the sidecars we run in production, I often wonder why we can't just... integrate them into the application.

I had to collaborate with an external client who worked heavily in Office, so I installed office on my mac, asked IT for a license, and signed in with my personal account in the meantime. A couple of months later I open the Office web UI on

I'm not afraid of having to do stuff in the CLI. And of course there are a ton of ways to solve it. None of them would be as straightforward or as elegant as having one partition that just contains all my user data and both of the oper

Here's an idea: like, capitalism, but with some restraints on it to protect the world. You know, like how we have regulators that (nominally) ensure food safety and clean air and whatnot.

I mean, the M1 gains are so great that it's making the mac relevant to entirely new market segments, so i'd say that's pretty game changing.

While I get the geopolitical reasons for this, I just want to say that it sucks. E-wasting kilotons of functioning hardware, in the middle of a global silicon shortage, is not a good state of affairs.

"Don't do crimes" or "see something, say something" is a good ideology that should be encouraged, but still an ideology. Companies that don't want whistleblowers to leak stuff should consider not doing crimes.

I'm not sure these attacks have anything to do with NAT - all of the stuff under "DHCP methods to control routes" sounds like it would work just the same if the router was handing out public IPs to the internal network. Or ev

This take is repeated a few times in this thread, but I'd counterpoint that AWS is the market leader, and Azure/GCP would be under much more competitive pressure to lower their bandwidth pricing if AWS brought theirs into line.
