I agree. If you have ever read the book Crystal Fire, about the work done at Fairchild Semiconductor in the 1950-70s, it took the best and brightest decades to solve the chemistry and engineering challenges present in building transistors

I'd second this, and would recommend looking up the Heinlein short story "All You Zombies," that the movie was based on. The film was a very accurate adaptation.

The point I inferred from the comment was that "it is OK for the article to state that biological differences in men and women lead to certain pre-dispositions in how friendships are formed, but it was not OK to suggest that biological

I'm a huge fan of Clementine. It reminds me of what Amarok used to be...back before the newfangled KDE 3 version bloated it.

EM isn't going to travel very well or very far through water. You would want something exposed on the surface, and preferably in very close proximity. Every time you transform power, you're going to incur losses.

I have no expertise in this area, however looking at some data from Wolfram Alpha: ( http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=poverty+thailand ) it seems to be able to break out many relevant statistics and metrics.

These looks like some nice additions to the Windows 10 virtual desktop. I remember playing with Compiz ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compiz ) on SUSE Linux back when Windows Vista was still in beta, and thinking how f

I feel like the terms leadership and management are often used interchangeability in business, but they aren't the same thing. You can provide leadership without being a manager. In your case, it sounds like a team could benefit from

>You think they would be watching everything like a hawk. They probably do...but...as they say, "locks keep honest men honest." At some point, you have to have a level of trust that exists. A long term subersive employee will b

Methane is more potent than CO2, but fairly short lived. Maybe Mars had more Methane in the distant past? If a 95% CO2 atmosphere isn't enough green house gas for liquid water, I'd assume internal heat played some sort of role.

I'm not an expert, but IIRC a fast neutron reactor can change power levels very rapidly. The rate of change for a thermal reactor needs to be much lower.

Very true. Important to note that the 8 plants also allowed for testing different combinations of pumps, steam generators, and other plant equiptment. Rickover got a testbed for future plants integrated into an operating carrier.

Having spoken with Navy divers on thia issue, it could range from unpleasent to fatal depending on how loud the active is, and distance from the transducer. Before a dive, verifing that no ships nearby were planning on transmitting was a re

In this case, it isn't the frequency that is the killer so much as the decibel level. High frequency or low frequency, 235 Db is a lot of energy being emmitted. In addition, the higher frequency of the sonar, the more quickly the sound
