1) This part of the policy has not changed. 2) State actors warning about use of state force is likely not going to be taken as incitement of violence (incitement of violence is “someone should go and beat those people up”, not “the police,

I imagine this could be added to excalidraw. I also had a use case for inserting images and drawing over them.

You should file an issue on the repo - folks working on it are super open to contributions.

And on the original issue it's good to point out that there were millions of slaves throughout human history who were not black... That doesn't make the concept any better, but it hasn't been historically a racial issue (peop

On the blacklist etc. issue, when you think about it it's actually the other way around. "black" was historically "bad" (not related to race), but it was super convenient that slaves had a darker skin that you could

I’m working on a better “standard” (or “base”) library ( https://github.com/xixixao/jfl ), but I’m not sure it’ll be as big as C++ stdlib. Then again I don’t think even a library the size of std would change this picture

This whole website is an absolute gold mine. 1) It's like someone finally worked on all the ideas I've had, 2) it's absolutely gorgeous in every respect. Wow.

2 reasons why this could be a faulty approach: 1) Code, specifically library code, which is what npm mostly consists of, in its most ideal state should not have a never-ending variety. On the contrary, we do want to all arrive at one good w

Hilariously enough, this is just cash at its traditionally best. I got a massage during my layover in Lisbon, but their credit card machine didn't work, so I had to use the ATM, which charged me something like 4 euros (bucks) (the mass

I gotta say you lost me at args->allof It’s 2020, if you’re really serious about building a new language, shouldn’t you at least pick a reasonable naming case convention? (allOf, AllOf, all_of, all-of would all work) (Not talking about t

Massive undertaking is a big understatement. It would be better to not tie into TS/Flow and let one of the two biggest tech companies implement the best, fastest typechecker.

How much is only the raw cost of the display (say 15"), and how much would it go down with scale? It doesn't look like you guys are skimping on the other parts of the device, which I think a mass-consumer device could (should) do.

I strongly believe there is a market for a large, thin, slow-to-update e-ink display to hang on the wall, connect to your phone, and display stuff. I'd pay it for it, wouldn't you? I'm talking about an end-user product, not j

FYI that dark theme example has unreadable blue for me in looking at it with night shift on. I'd suggest swapping out for a better theme.

This is a good write-up, and the most interesting point is about self-efficiency. It kills me to see software engineers not use multi-paste or multi-cursors. But I agree this is “human nature”. I have totally proven this to myself when I tr

This was Windows Phone. It was pretty great. Unfortunately we won't find out what would happen if it was a major OS (primarily: would the heavy constraints work well?).

This is good but it'd be even better inline, the same way Bear both displays markdown and shows the markers, you could imagine that the "Excell" UI could be embedded inside the plain text editor.

React does this (at least the escaping of output part). Bunch of PHP frameworks do it too. But I think it's just a natural part of the power of computers, except most people don't think in Lisp ("any" text could be turne
