How is autonomous driving an increasingly scarce resource? The tech industry, with zero marginal cost, took to the subscription model with great success. Hugely profitable. Now every business looks to work in subscriptions. I think what we

One aspect I didn’t see mentioned was that a lawn can be practical for a family. As kids we used to run around and play games, the dog liked to run a lot etc. and it’s easiest on a flat short and even surface. Plus you don’t have to worry

Great article. One point it kind of touches on but misses is the higher risk of “growing pains” / incompetence in startup land. Leadership, processes (lack there of) etc can all be lacking / poor. Anything from poor strategic jud

Agree, but in my experience medicine simply kept me from going too low. Some kind of therapy may also be needed, and a focus / prioritization on things that make you happy.

My senior college project was to reduce surgeon error in an Opthamalogy department, and surgeons were definitely cagey about talking about errors. It happened to other surgeons but not them (but it did). They’re so scared of malpractice sui

Authors can hum and haw over estimates all day, but at the end of the day if we don’t have required reporting we will never know. That would be a good first step.

I don’t think it’s fair to fully blame these businesses. If they pay their workers a “living wage”, whatever that is, then they need to raise prices just to remain profitable. Customers see the price increase and go to the next restaurant

I can relate a bit. I also wrote a book that quickly faded into obscurity. The biggest learning I had was I had no audience. I needed to build that first with blog posts or what not, THEN write the book. I’m surprised that’s not covered he

This is fine and dandy in a 10 year bull market, but I don't think this is the solution for most folks. When the market turns south, money will fly to safety, and then slowly expand over the following years. It's not going to be
