You've pretty much nailed it, especially the last part about the cold. I will run sometimes, but the motivation required to go run when it's freezing outside is frequently beyond my grasp.

Probably not. That clearbit form tells me that they don't have my email address, but my information was pre-populated into Svbtle when I used that same address.

I came across this as we were looking at different JavaScript transpiler options for our project (where the backend is a Spring Boot app using Groovy). Fun, but it sort of felt like an example of "every language has a JavaScript transp

This calls to mind the (ongoing) MST3K Kickstarter, and his explanation of how much of the first couple million is going to fees + fulfillment of awards. At the level I pledged, I would love to dismiss the physical awards and just have the

Good question, I'm not really sure. HN isn't the right place to find out, though. There isn't a lot of interest in Grails in the Bay Area.

What is "on time"? I graduated from an engineering university a decade ago, and it was commonplace for an undergraduate degree to take 4.5 - 5 years. There's no rush to finish in 4. You have the rest of your life to work.

That kind of thinking can lead to a culture where people don't want to take vacation because it means they are less "busy" than others and by implication, less important. It becomes a badge of honor to let unused vacation exp

Is getting medical marijuana really as easy as a quick video chat with symptoms of frequent heartburn? Prohibiting it seems especially ridiculous if that is the case.

In the case of my online only bank, you just can't deposit cash. This is only a small nuisance for me, though, as the only instance I receive cash anymore is when selling things on Craigslist.

I suspect they mean that handing out your password is a security issue. It's not like these sites are new, though, so I don't trust that "security" is the main motivator.

This seems like it would backfire. I suspect many people are more loyal to mint.com than to their banks.
