   I'm sorry, but LDAP does this on a much larger scale for free. Nice idea, however wrong way to go about it big time.

   .. and it saddens me each time I read a comment like this. It's best practice to disable remote root login. A whole industry supports this.

   I have a Google Docs spreadsheet with all the server information I need, and KeePass to store all credentials. This works for about 10 active projects at various stages in their life cycles.
