This is an inspiring read. Without looking at the code, there are so many revolutionary ideas in here for more usable programming languages. The ideas regarding stateful execution seem both useful for highly parallel tasks and even hardware

I don’t really support this view. While doing anything creative with threading is in fact challenging, in Java it’s easy to safely boost performance with threading using parallel streams and concurrent data structures. Even in other languag

In SC2, unranked and ranked players are actually mixed in matchmaking. So if you are playing unranked you still have an MMR, just not one you can see. As an unranked player, you can tell what division you are in based on the portrait frame

Admittedly, I only skimmed this. But within the space of video games, I’m not sure Overwatch is a stunning example since it’s generally a casual game. I’ve been playing various iterations of Counter-Strike and StarCraft for decades. Sometim

Being a teacher is a labor of love. There’s nothing wrong with a student coming in with any attitude. This attitude justifying gatekeeping reminds me of Stack Overflow - mods tired of seeing the same wrong questions asked. But it’s a Q&
