I'm kind of digging the QR code on a receipt where I just pay from my phone's browser, get emailed a receipt, and I leave at my leisure. Been seeing this around busier places in the US though still pretty rare.

I know a few muslims that liked him. I believe he just seemed like a "good guy" who wanted to unify the world

Power grids need a mix of sources and nuclear is best suited for handling a baseline of power while batteries, wind, and solar handle the flexible portions.

Just say it was covered under NDA and I'm can't elaborate. Having a ton of NDAs will hurt you in the interview process except with other companies that are NDA heavy

IDK if it was inka but I was in a town called Ollataytombo or something like that for a week and they had this adorable little aqueduct that ran straight through town and people washed their clothes and whatnot in it. Loved how a lot of tho

I grew up in a small town of 5000 in rural US and the first murder in the city that I remember was a guy who killed another guy in a subway. It was one of 2 that I remember in about 18 years

I think that's simply which generation is talking. I'm an average (oldish?) millenial and 2003 is about that sweet spot of when I cut my teeth on the web. I was online before getting my butt kicked by koreans on starcraft but I ca

I bought an instrument cluster for my car for 700$ a year or two ago and they totally put something like "broken car parts - 20$" on the declaration.

Yeah, using the median is pretty sweet and should hopefully bypass a lot of environment review which is the bane of building anything in CA. Even if it doesn't bypass average car speed, just the comfort of not having to drive that nast

A private company called brightview (I think) built a small section of highish speed rail in Florida and is now building a line from the outskirts of LA to Vegas. I'm excited for it to open up

There's a car company that runs in vegas that does exactly that. You rent the car for a few hours and it will be driven up to you by a remote driver and then when you're done it'll drive off remotely. No AI needed.

Someone posted a link in response to you, but no money actually crosses borders. I think the best way to explain it is an example. My contact needs to get money to his family across the world. I happen to have a cousin that I love and trust

It's really not at scale. It's on the order of 500$ a month per dev for "gold" level care for a company of 50 people. I'm sure it's less the larger you get.
