Based on a cursory glance of the documentation, I think it should? I'm not a headscale expert though, I just play one on TV.

Sadly, they don't. I don't do much devops/SRE stuff there anymore because I do not want to do that as my career anymore.

Thank you, I try! I guess the lesson here is to turn the anxiety that comes from immigration stress into surrealism that turns into blogposts. I can't believe I got away with this, but I bet I could probably do it again in the future.

Hi, I am the author of this article. I honestly have no idea how stable this is. The idea for this post was to match the neosurrealism of the last April Fool's Day post about SQLite: https://tailscale.com/blog/data

No, it's serious. "A new era of transparency by no human in particular". It's so blatantly self-contradicting that it's funny.

This is so hilarious that I'm having trouble laughing at it. I can't even describe how funny this is. I love 2023. It's giving science fiction authors a hard time trying to keep up with the absurdity.

I have gigabit fiber and it's IPv4 only. My ISP blocks incoming ICMP messages so I can't set up a HE tunnel. I used to use Route48, but they shuttered due to abuse, so I don't know what to do anymore.

My back of the napkin math says there should be a 40 byte overhead for wireguard around tailscale 1280 byte packets. That's only about a 3% overhead on the direct wire. What is your testing methodology so I can attempt to replicate it

Tailscalar here, for what it's worth, I run my plex server on Tailscale (i5 10600) and I haven't noticed any observable lag due to the TUN/TAP driver. Even with 4k bluray rips at several tens of megabits per second of video q

Tailscalar here: there is a bandwidth limit, it's a funnel, not a hose. We don't announce what the bandwidth limit is, but please keep in mind that it does exist. I would suggest setting up your media server inside your tailnet fo

God yes. Good humor is so hard to do when writing about technical things. I try to get a good balance by judicious application of surrealism, but a lot of the time your jokes won't land, and your references are both too old and too you

I second this. The only reason my blog is so complicated is that I get so much traffic that I have to overengineer it. Your blog doesn't need to be as complicated. Underthink things now so you can overthink them later. A friend of mine
