A very relatable struggle. Cool project! I remember getting into WoL as a kid playing with our home PC, felt like magic to press a button on my phone and watch the fully powered off machine come to life. Never sorted out a reliable enough s

It sucks, but it's the only service anyone ever uses. Doesn't really matter what I prefer when every financial service i want to use offers Plaid or nothing.

I like RebornOS, also got frustrated with Manjaro I didn't have it installed more than a day. Immediately ran into package conflicts trying to set up because their repo hadn't updated with versions AUR packages depended on.

Yup, I'm moving to a new ptimary checking account currently because I'm sick of my local credit union that is apparently so incompetent they can't handle sending email alerts correctly. Also, any bank or credit card that won&

I was expecting this to be containers under the hood, instead it seems the idea is basically to bundle your virtualenv and ship it to prod? I think I'll stick with Docker...

This is interesting, I haven't ever used the Qt framework but I'm surprised that it would even have an SSL implementation, sounds a bit out of scope for a GUI toolkit. I think I'd prefer to do all my networking separately and

I'm going to ask a lazy question instead of figuring it out myself for the sake of discussion, feel free to ignore if I should just Google it: Where would one start in building an alternative to libtorrent? Have there been any attempts

Gut instinct I was with you, but actually yes--there's some places I definitely want to be aware and/or involved when software updates and the torrent client is one of them. Not that it should force you to go download and install

I like your first point, hadn't thought of it that way; makes it seem just a bit more reasonable. Regarding "create value" though, that's where I think a lot of the negative sentiment comes in: the vast majority of these

But that's why the government had to regulate it. If companies have financial incentive to do something they're going to do it, to make them stop that incentive must be removed. I don't think that comment was intending to jus

Yeah to be clear I only meant to summarize their position as I read it from the paper, I don't know enough to make a judgement on who is right. Appreciate the summary of counterpoints though, very helpful for my understanding!

I keep my Waydroid session running in the background, managed by a systemd user-level service. Works great, and if it increases resource usage I don't notice--this is on a converted Chromebook so pretty low specs.

I would go for multiple air paths over a wider one, don't want to end up with a smoothie straw you can suck liquid vape juice out of. But yeah length can be an issue and width also, for the ones that wrap around the cartridge to be mor

I'm not sure this will actually end up changing much because of how they've carved out exceptions for refillable or rechargeable devices. I don't vape nicotine but I occasionally buy a disposable THC vape, and nearly every on

This sounds better if you never use cloud editor platforms; devcontainer can be useful if you jump between local coding and say GitHub Codespaces where devcontainer.json is automatically recognized. IME a hybrid of your approach and devcont

I think the GP was suggesting, and imo it's a good idea, that you should first ask them to update your birth date saying you entered it incorrectly. Then you can request deletion again and your ID should be accepted.
