In well designed USB port you'd at least have diodes shorting it to ground/vcc. But they are designed for ESD protection, so while high voltage, not that much energy The problem is that there is no fuses, while ethernet basically

Well ,first off, in POE powered devices it is connected to device, and I'd imagine in many cases (of being cheap) it would be directly coupled to device. > So running DC would probably just melt the cable or transformers but is not

Pretty much. In Rust you have to convince compiler what you're doing makes sense or tell compiler to fuck off, in C it's pretty much "it's your funeral, whatever dude"

Yeah but it's only similar from a very far away. Like just simple resistor, in electronics flow increases linearly with voltage, in hydraulics it doesn't. Or how in some hydraulics system it's not really the flow that's

Well, it does offer more varied stuff from the get go so I can see why someone wouldn't want to limit their options, HAProxy was and is purely a proxy while NGINX is a bit of everything. SPOE/SPOA added a bit of programmability to

If it was alternator driven generator it would most likely drift into phase with the network, as the network would either break, or allow it to spin faster depending on in which direction the difference is. That's actually how the big
