Creating from scratch also creates hidden debt, it's just moved onto yourself. Especially when working with dates and timezones.

Also Italian, lots of really interesting cheeses out there. Appenzeller medium, young Asiago, sake trappist cheese, blue brie, extra sharp English cheddar, and of course mozzarella and halloumi. I think both the Grana and the Parmiggiano ar

Thomas Stevens, really an interesting character. He sometimes makes sweeping generalisations, which makes his writing even more real and not filtered.

Yeah, I saw that concept but I always feel like I'm supposed to be 6 years old to enjoy the interactions and the dialogue (both in FFXIV and FFXV). Also the "tourist moment" felt too much the canned tourist experience where e

And this stuff is why I love either super creative science fiction or travelogues (and the formers are hard to find). You can try to imagine a brand new world or simply try to re-live our real and past world. To me that is even more amazing

A friend of mine also recently redid a machiya in Kyoto. It even had the godness mask near the ceiling, amazing. Side note: I quickly checked the dedede project and I'm so enthralled with it! I will use it to improve my Japanese, thank

If for 1M I get 10%, the company is valued at 10M. Going from 10M to 20M is not a big stretch, and that would net me 1M already. More than gold appreciation I believe.

Good questions go get started, we can begin with the obvious and figure out the details later. But yes, to me illuminated signs are wasteful to my attention and to environment, so out they would go.

Change advertising to anything we ban agree to ban as a society and you will see why putting the responsibility to the individual is not sufficient. Laws don't get tired or can be forced through dark patterns. Laws are generally there

My latest fear is not having the person behind me to rear me (as you can keep an eye on them) but is whoever is behind them, hitting them and then myself getting hit as a result. 2nd hand collision, still pretty dangerous.

The fear of death is a strong motivator (or demotivator), so that could be it. Ever since I truly realised how I feel about dying, I have had to willingly put myself to take a break and play games once in a while. It gets better!

I don't think many throw away their remote controller when the batteries run out. So why do we do that for laptops? Because it makes them 2cm thinner? I believe this change benefits 100% the companies imposing them, consumers always ha

Mozilla is a no-profit foundation, not a company which needs to be sustainable or be profitable. I agree Mozilla lost its way but I would still hope in them improving over time than trusting yet another for-profit to serve us in the long-te

Convince your company to contribute back to the libraries they use? Otherwise donations and bounties are a good way. Hackathons are a poor way to do that, as it's often on the whims of random egocentric judges pushing their own agendas
