Didn't people believe at some point that moon landings themselves caused the Moon to vibrate or something along those lines? Always found that eyebrow-raising.

Not if you want to look good, which is what shaving is about. I can grow a goatee and mustache, so what now I gotta shave everywhere else AND trim that stuff too? I don't think that it saves me time.

If you want a bargain and have no qualms buying from Aliexpress, then search for QSHAVE there. First result will be their "copy" of Merkur Futur, as I understand it. Haven't used the real one or many other traditional safety

Not much as far as SSH is concerned, but you can buy many smart cards and just use one cardreader. For personal use it's more convenient to use Yubikey as a commercial proprietary solution.

> USB tokens like a Yubikey As far as I can tell first Yubikeys were basically small cardreaders with non-removable smartcards in SIM card formfactor. > Wait, really? They still make these? Every credit card with a chip is basically a

This is a crutch, backwards approach. Just use smart cards goddammit, that's what they were made for! https://github.com/philipWendland/IsoApplet/wiki

Since it's kind of related to something a wondered about - can you spoof a device ID with those tools? So an operating system just eats it up? I know it's possible with VMs and device passthrough.

Go to Aliexpress or Ebay and search for JCOP. JCOP 3 should be contactless cards, JCOP 21 - not. Order whichever you want and then look for a card reader to match, keyword here is CCID. Some stuff you might see might be expensive, especiall

You can buy a smartcard reader, some blank javacards and install this https://github.com/philipWendland/IsoApplet , seamless enough. I've been using it for about 3 years now I think. Other stuff you can do with sma

Who cares? As long as you can edit text and it doesn't get in your way it's all fine. I can switch between using vim and vscode without any problems. I don't use vim to its full potential and I never will, I don't know m

Linux isn't just one thing. In a parallel universe he used a different distro and didn't have any issues. That says nothing about whether or not this piece of hardware is a good purchase or how good it is supported in general.

Point is that you don't need to, you can make any distro work. "Working out of the box" for Linux doesn't have the same meaning as for Windows. If you're a buying a custom motherboard for an old notebook that's

To take any significant advantage of it you need to use data-driven, transformational approach of solving something. But funny thing is once you have that it's not really a big deal even if you don't have a pipe operator.

XQuery was much more suited for this than SQL will ever be, so much so that some naive people made a thing called XRX https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XRX_(web_application_architect... Did it take off? Of course not.
