I also want to mention that I see Paypal and Amazon accounting for this, but they are doing it in a way that it hurts you to use it on all transactions over $10-12. In my case this could happen if someone did bulk buying. How would you mode

I think your hacker definition falls a little more along the same lines as mine. I initially read the list expecting the author to be telling me ways of how to obtain 1337 skillz, but realized he was talking about hacking from the tinkering

I want to say I have seen this before, but can't dig up where. I agree with you that it would be a nice to have. There have been many times when I click an article (forgetting to open in a new tab), read it and think of something great to s

I can't say I see anything wrong with the crude learning lesson he was trying to put out there. I myself wrote a quick Wachovia Chrome Extension that never stored credentials, but tracked if someone actually put them in. Upon a "login" the

Interesting to see someone who is using IRC in this fashion. I personally have been an advocate of using XMPP in the same way. While IRC offers a good amount of features, XMPP provides the ability to scale and dive into multiple different r

I once was asked the following by a manager - "Name a skill or trait you feel is strong, but not everyone notices". My gut response was to provide the simple answer of nothing. If a trait/skill was strong then others would notice it. If the

I wouldn't discredit wordpress right away. I will agree that it gets tough to maintain (one of my current sites is tangled in the Wordpress framework), but if you look at blogs he is trying to replicate then you can see their all Wordpress

Drupal is a great framework, one I have contributed to for a while and fully support, but it is structured. For a project that requires a quick (hours/day(s)) deployment, I think Wordpress works well because you get the benefit of using a f

I did something similar and was able to roll the whole thing on Wordpress in an hour or two. For something as simple as this I would say you just stick with a framework that handles mostly everything for you.
