It's not about what's best for the customers, it's about the rights of the company to that list, and their choice to make it public or private. Privacy is a right, not a privilege, and requires no justification.

It would be interesting to find out how they plan to implement the adds. If the adds are inserted into the web pages, I would think that content providers would have a good legal claim against AT&T for copyright infringement, if the add

Cars kill density, but they don't kill cities. I live in San Diego, a very car friendly city. I can get to almost any store, restaurant, or shop in 15 minutes or less. The key is medium density city with lot's of freeways. High de

I have a rMBP as well. You can use a little program called Retinizer[1] to convert YouView to retina compatible app. Retinizer works on almost any cocoa app, I have tried it on a bunch. All it does is set a flag in the info.plist file that

On OSX I highly recommend YouView[1]. It streams H.264, and CPU usage during playback is 1/3 of what the browser player uses. I guess it really inconsequential unless you are on a laptop. On a laptop it's a difference in 1-1.5 hou

If you are in K12, you have a cellphone, it's as simple as that. Want to learn how to program, Jailbroke your iPhone, get an Android, or pay $99 and learn. You have options. Is it idiotic to give iPads to school students? Yes. Is it ap

This is idiotic! Apple is not THE obstacle, it's just another platform. People who love apple get accused of being fanboys. What is the opposite of that? Some one who drags in Apple into any an all argument, and figures out a way to bl

This yet again points out how spineless Obama is. He stated on the record that he supports everything that NSA does, and that their work is invaluable to United States. And yet, he is not standing behind them, he is doing what's more p

Not sure why, but instinctually, I really do not like the man who does not exist. Perhaps it's because I am an Ayn Rand hating libertarian. Or perhaps it's because he is the kind of man who takes advantage of the market with littl

Fixing both problems is ideal, and we should do both. But, I fear, that after fixing the "how to pay for it" problem, no politician will try to fix the much more complex, and much more important problem of the very high costs. At

This is exactly why I get so pissed about the Affordable Care Act! We are not solving the problem of why medical care in USA is so outrageously expensive, we instead are solving the problem of how to pay for it. The problem is, once most pe

A little exercise after your nap, like a few pushups or a run around the block really pushes the grogginess away in my experience. As others pointed out, the timing is key too. 15-20 minute naps works because you are in the pre-sleep state,
