Soviet people laid down their lives to win WWII, then, after WWII a lot more Soviet people lost their lives due to the tyrannical rule of a completely insane and evil man. I don't even want to dive into the pros and cons of communism.

As someone borne in the USSR, I am sad that Stalin lived to an old age and died without suffering. If there is hell, I hope he is in it right now. I would further never trust any statistics from the old USSR. For instance, the communists we

A quote from Benjamin Franklin comes to mind: Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

This is a fascinating bit of research. Has any one posted yet information on how the actual card info was stollen? I read somewhere that the point of sale units were infected, but with no evidence to back that claim up.

I was actually comparing in that example the V8 M3 from 2008. But point taken on the driving style, that plays a role as well.

It's not all that different, 3,245 lb for the C5 vs 3,483 lb for the M3. This is why I used it as a counterpoint example.

I never intended to use the Corvette as an example of technical innovation. If you read my original post, you will see that I simply used it as an example of showing that smaller engine does NOT equal a more efficient engine by default. I d

I find it sad that people are so obsessed right now with small engines. Small engine does not necessarily mean good efficiency. For instance, I have a C5 Corvette with a 5.7L V8 engine. It gets 29-30MPG on the freeway, and I usually get com

It's much the same way my k1200r is pushing out 180HP from a 1.2 liter normally aspirated engine. RPM + flow. Most supersport bikes have even more HP on tap from a smaller engine. The key, however, is torque, that's what you want

I am not sure if you were responding to me. But I just wanted to clarify that I think those steps are very difficult indeed. I don't think it's trivial at all to implement the changes I listed, and would take time. And that minimu

You are right. Step 1, fix the woefully broken legal system in India. Step 2, streamline the crippling and impossible to navigate bureaucracy. Step 3, create a functional income tax collection apparatus in a mostly cash society. Step 4, sol

You can not compare low paid workers in US to the once in India. US has some social safety nets. Admittedly, not a lot, but US has food stamps, and assistive housing, and an economy that's working, maybe not well, but well enough. Indi
