If you deprive someone of their life with your weapon, that's a crime called murder. There is no right in the US to actually shoot anyone; you do realize that?

> Capitalism is the greatest system we know of for creating weath. It is also one of the worst systems for distributing weath. This is an oxymoron. "Wealth" is just stuff. Loaves of bread. Cars. iPhones. TV shows. If you create stuff

Not rails. I've never used rails in a serious production application.

Rails is not great, IMO. I use Spring every day as part of my day job, and I agree that a lot of the development time slowness is due to culture/enterprise. But that is a serious problem that can't be readily dismissed.

From my experience, the Spring one would take 10x as long to make, which means more developer cost and more feedback reaction time. Certainly not a deal breaker, but a cost/tradeoff one must consider. Edit: clarity.

I found that doing data processing in Go was a bit cumbersome due to missing generics. Using a functional programming approach, data processing is easy because you can create new data by taking old data and specifying a transformation proce

Psychologically, this is called ego identification. It's also the reason you shouldn't talk about religion or politics at work or with the in-laws. For exactly the reason you mentioned: attacking Ruby will feel to the Rubyist like a persona

I worked on a team last year that did this. Wednesdays and Fridays. It worked so well that I am trying to get it implemented at my current place. If I ever become a manager, I will probably implement this among my team, too.

I have never understood Chrome users. Chrome is easily the worst browser on the market, short of IE <= 7. It is slow and grossly unstable. Across multiple computers and OSes, across the past few years, this has been my consistent experi
