It makes me wonder how the conspiracy people think this stuff is orchestrated. Does it all get planned out by one council of secret overlords masterminding the flow of public information? How many people are in on the secret? What is their

People love having something to hate and someone to blame for things not being ideal. It sure is a lot easier than acknowledging that the world is incredibly complex and nuanced.

I bet the same dynamic happened with Linux distributions including Python 2 as the default as well. Double whammy.

The Fabric dev(s) seem to be developing a v2 branch with Python 3 support: https://github.com/fabric/fabric/tree/v2 But I'm not sure how far along it is yet.

Ah, forgot about twisted. The new asyncio stuff probably changes a lot for how something like that could be implemented.

Yeah, for the longest time everyone kept using library support as an excuse for sticking with 2. But at this point I think it's the exception that a decent Python library doesn't support 3, rather than the rule. The only one that

My hope is that over time a large enough percentage of people will become annoyed to the point of giving a fighting chance to alternative approaches and platforms. Or a stigma develops around being overly addicted to these platforms and the

This project is in Go and Argon2 isn't a part of the standard crypto ( https://golang.org/pkg/crypto/#pkg-subdirectories ) or additional crypto ( https://godoc.org/golang.org/x/crypto )

When the content doesn't load (for whatever reason) the page only shows that ad... Which looks way too much like the actual content for my taste.

Sometimes switching between Go and C is weird (because of the type order or the semicolons) but I've never had any trouble switching between Go and Python. Go has an awesome ecosystem for writing servers and web applications but it

I care more about security and privacy than anonymity. IPFS or Keybase seem like better approaches towards those goals. And, yes, Tor makes sense if you need to hide your IP address. But beyond that I don't see much further use.

I see this as a valid point. You don't need Tor for that, any local app could proxy a connection that way. But, yes, it is a useful side effect of Tor.

I have mixed feelings about Tor. As a proxy to hide your IP address it makes perfect sense to me. But what's the end result of hidden services? I want to be anonymous sometimes but I can't think of a time when I want the host of a
