I paid over $50 USD for parking a bit over two hours in Cambridge Massachusetts when visiting MIT. Parking in the Boston area is atrocious.

I’m just visiting Toronto now. The Path is amazing. This is one of the entrances across from the Meridian Hall. https://imgur.com/a/Y4S40JC

From the little I know of, language based provers like Lean allow mathematicians to specify the steps of a proof in a precise language format that can be “run” by a machine assisted prover to prove its validity. It automates the verificatio

Mad respect. This is an incredible project to pull together all these technologies. The crown jewel of a search engine is its ranking algorithm. I'm not sure how LLM is being used in this regard in here. One effective old technique for

Excellent write up. I really appreciate the clear and detailed explanation of the algorithm. The nice thing about Zig’s SIMD operation is the register size support is transparent. You can just declare a 64-byte vector as the Block, and Zig

Zig is great. I have fun writing in it. But there’re a few things bug me. - Difficult to return a value from a block. Rust treats the value of the last expression of a block as the return value of the block. Have to jump through hoops in Zi

These are excellent tips. I especially like the debugger integration in build.zig. I used to grep the cache directory to find the exe. The integration avoids all the extra steps.

Checklist is for people who have a fair amount of experience doing the task. It's just a reminder to perform the steps. An experienced chef reading "pre-heat the pan on low-medium.." would know what those terms mean.

I don’t find the lack of built-in interface in Zig to be a big problem. Yes. It has some boilerplates to roll in by hand, but all of the work are confined in the interface and only required to be done once. The benefits of the language outw

You get back an interface object at the end anyway. Why force the implementation to produce it? And if you have a type implementing 5 different interfaces, like one for Comparable, one for Iteratible, etc., do you want to stick 5 interface
