I would love to hear why the person that down-voted this comment did so?

Having a candy bar melt in your pocket is mundane. Un-boiling an egg is NOT mundane. Maybe I'm not understanding your point, obviously you aren't claiming that before the 1940's candy bars didn't melt in people pockets?

btw, I like your handle. :) I'm an ex-philadelphian, migrated south for the winter.

Melting a candy bar in your pocket is a normal occurrence, "unboiling" an egg was previously impossible. We used to refer to the example of "un-baking" a chicken as an example of a process that was irreversible. I'd

Yea, that's actually what I was thinking from your comment and the response. Something to consider though, has your target market seen many stock bootstrap sites. Unless you are targeting other developers, chances are they have seen st

Are you saying that because of your knee jerk negative reaction to the default bootstrap styles that you think that you might be having a negative feeling about Coinbase's site? That's kind of interesting given that obviously Coin

While you are obviously exceedingly clever, you're funny inversion is BS. Vinyl isn't a novelty. It is a small but non-negligible market. In my anecdotal experience, myself and my friends have had record players and have been list

I would argue that the vinyl "revolution" is more about the actual qualities of the sound produced vs. digital media than simple nostalgia.

Super-late reply but yes, agreed. I am wondering how much value they have in capital goods and land? Like if whatsapp goes bust, it's worth zero but SpaceX has some assets it could sell. And again, they have 3,000 employees, I would th

I think messaging apps are even more difficult, right? SpaceX has made around $4 billion on contracts so far which I would guess is more than whatsapp.
857.
by wuliwong 12y ago
Yea but you could make arguments that whatsapp could suffer any number of ill-fated results. There's no business without risk. Technical risks are difficult but whatsapp has only shown that it can charge $1/year. $19 billion is a

This is what I wondered too. I think there must be something we are missing. SpaceX has 3,000 employees and tons of capital equipment. They have contracts worth billions of dollars and loads of proprietary technology? I thought they were al

I don't believe so. I believe SignalR is more synonymous with node's implementation of socket.io. This would be like someone getting SignalR to work natively with an Android client.

I see what you are saying. But the factor I mentioned I think is more of a loss than the time-value loss. Basically, would you take $2M up front but then no salary for 4 years or $2M spread over four years but you still can earn your salary

I'm not sure how this still isn't two million dollars? I guess if you subtract the salary this person could be making if they paid him $2M up front and let him walk away?
