We are two software engineers frustrated with "grooming meetings" that were one-sided and ceremonial. So, we hacked together a polling engine for asynchronous voting, satisfying the needs of our day jobs. Since then, we've se

The shrooms community has known about this for a long time, and now it's just about recreating the knowledge in peer-reviewed studies. Although there is a lot of "woo woo" on shrooms usage in the online communities, I do hope

Do you have a source? I don't think it is "more effective" in terms of the remission rate. That being said, in this hypothetical world where you can choose between shrooms and SSRIs, you would have to compare the side effects

What happens to wages when the QE occurs? Nothing, they stagnate. What happens to real estate and securities? They skyrocket. I don't care if it's cryptocurrency that we end up using. As long as we can pay people in some kind of s

I think of Bitcoin as a hail mary attempt to fix the inequality caused by central banking. I got a lot of flak for saying that I would trade the environmental damage done by bitcoin for negating central banking in another thread, but I beli

I think believing this (the title in particular) is even more partisan and more wrong than not participating in Bitcoin because it's "bad for the environment" which I read as "I feel I missed the boat, so I'm going

Pop science with no link to actual study? I'm not convinced that confounding variables have been stripped. ADHD and autism are probably also positively associated with the population density of medical professionals in the area. Edit:

I applaud this, but I also advise against this for your career. Unless the change you're making has immediate and significant business benefits, from a PM/EM perspective you're 1) wasting time 2) potentially introducing bugs

A good engineer who understands the business thoroughly is I'd wager 3 times more valuable than just a good engineer who has no knowledge of the business.
