The Scandinavian countries have a good reputation for legal protections on privacy. I can't comment on whether they actually live up to that reputation.

I've been a happy customer of Register4Less.com for years, and they throw in free static hosting with every domain name. It does everything you mention except PHP and Markdown. (But you could do Markdown yourself with a static site gen

Arguably two major rewrites: one early in the life of the Mozilla project, when the FOSS community deemed the original Netscape code dump to be nearly unmaintainable, and the second during the creation of Firefox itself (although that was m

It amazes me how many people will favor putting a suffering animal out of its misery, then fight tooth and nail against offering that same mercy to their fellow human beings.

You completely lost me. We weren't discussing the median skilled wage, we were discussing the median wage. The median wage is the median of all wages. Trying to redefine words in the middle of an argument strikes me as dishonest.

By providing quality software that lets me and thousands of others get useful work done, and not forcing us to accept onerous licensing terms in the process? But hey, none of those can cure cancer, so what's the point, right?

The median income in the US (in 2014) was $29k. The median salary for a software engineer is supposedly $95k. That's more than triple the overall median. Sources: https://www.ssa.gov/oact/cola/central.html h

Now I'm curious who holds the wallet with 100,000 BTC. Is it publicly known who owns it? My best guess would be either one of the early developers, or a major exchange or bank.
