Thanks NoBS - do you remember any of the sites you tapped to get some of the original legal terms? edw - the idea for the article is that there is a fair amount of legwork you can do yourself to avoid legal fees without wasting a ton of you

I think Marc's head is certainly in the right place, but in all fairness, what you can do on a Mac and a HD cam and writing/shooting LOST and Heroes ain't the same thing whatsoever.

The writers have more power in this case than the studios do. They need to get paid, yes, but the ripple effect in Hollywood right now is just ridiculous.

The $10k per day number is only interesting if you understand the marketing numbers. If he's spending $20k per day in marketing, the business isn't that interesting.

I started 9 companies with no outside cash. The first one i started I sold and then joined the parent company which had not taken in any outside cash. We grew that to $600m in revenues within 5 years. All that said, I would still say that
