I think the antibiotics probably tone down the inflammation (not sure why) which resolves the appendicitis. It's also possible our previous understanding of appendicitis (as documented on Wikipedia) needs to be updated in light of this

I find this incredibly surprising. Do you give them a chance to? So many of my colleagues (at a big tech co) have expressed various conservative views. Granted, I live in NYC, but this feels a bit like you're experiencing confirmation

It's a bit funny to write off a hash table that is by design competing with another hash table by saying "it's not a different data structure, so I'm not interested." Moreover, this kind of optimization only makes s

I can't confirm that? Can you provide another source? Because I agree - that would dramatically change the narrative of the movie. (Even still, I'm not convinced that it would make Ray a particularly empathetic character) Searchin

My takeaway from this is that the movie made reasonable changes to provide a compelling narrative while retaining the fact and spirit of the most important bits: * Ray did marry Joan * Harry did make McDonald's viable * The brothers we

We see a lot of back-of-the-envelope math about total costs. Eg FastCompany has a post [1] that suggests total costs today [with more-or-less publicly available equipment] would be about $300k. I think if it remained north of $200k, it woul
