Interesting, I guess I've been lucky in this configuration. PMs in this setup have no authority to apply pressure on delivery, thats expected from the EM though. I think a lot of it depends on the characters of people who take on these

The alternative is to have engineering managers be the interface between engineers and business, product managers partner up with the engineering managers and team leads do the project management part along with EM. Product tells the team w

Why would they have to exclude based on ethnicity now but not before? Even when UK was part of EU, kids who were not EU nationals still needed visa to go to UK.

This has been my observation as well. Such companies pat themselves on the back for hiring a diverse group who actually think the same _despite_ coming from different backgrounds or have different skin color.

I don't know of anyone who gets a new phone every 1-2 years regardless of their income level. Is this really the case? Any data on it?

I disagree that SS is geared towards professional athletes. What makes you think so? Ive done both, StrongLift is simply not sustainable especially for a beginner.

I cannot recommend Starting Strength enough… BUT.. please consider hiring a Starting Strength coach even remote for few months. A lot of people misdo the program and then complain that they got fat.
