Why would they have to exclude based on ethnicity now but not before? Even when UK was part of EU, kids who were not EU nationals still needed visa to go to UK.

- dkjaudyeqooe 5y agoThey're talking about the fact that due to a lack of passports among certain people (probably immigrants) it would become de-facto ethnicity based.
- Scoundreller 5y agoNot just lack of passports, but France has tons of children born in France that aren't French citizens. For them, entering on a French ID card made life really easy. Getting and having a Malian or Algerian passport and then a visa for UK entry sets a high bar for entry.
