Taking extra time is no guarantee of a better quality result the same way being fast is no guarantee that work was sloppy. It depends on the situation, but going slow misses out on learning opportunities that come from a faster iterations.

Most people dont know how to drive in roundabouts even in cities where they are plentiful. I like how it is most of Europe; always yield to the right in the absence of signs that say otherwise (priority sign or traffic lights)

I wouldnt compare meat in the US to all of Europe. No idea about quality of meat in Italy but in German supermarkets even high end beef tastes like shit compared to what you would get (non high end) in the US.
