Do iOS devices not leverage full disk encryption? In which case I’d assume simply wiping the encryption keys/fde headers would be sufficient? (Which it almost certainly does.)

I added motion sensors to most rooms in my house about a year ago and I’m surprised how much of a quality of life upgrade they have been, maybe give that a shot. It all passes the wife-test too!
