It's one thing to not have your needs directly catered to and delivered on a silver platter. It's another to have the company go far out of their way to they don't even leave the field open for someone to cater to your needs.

According to the last US census, the tract I live in in Chicago is one of the densest places in the city outside of central districts with high-rises. I live in a two flat. When I go outside, I am greeted by squirrels and the honey bees fro

I don't really care about portability as I do "how much shit do I need to install to actually get work done on my workstations and servers" Maybe it's because I was a sysadmin in a former life, but over managing is almo

I run IPsec at home, on two HA OPNSense firewalls/routers precisely because I don’t get to do it all day. It’s a learning experience.

Part 3 itself would be the thing the gobblers are interested in though, right? THis Let Me Know thing can just hit a URL and get back a "yep, 200, its up" or a "nope, 204, not yet".

It's not spamming any more than me opening their website myself in a browser, loading their entire webpage, looking "Is part 3 posted yet", and doing that every day until part 3 is posted. Except this idea is automated, and w

I would rather limit myself to things I know are going to be preinstalled on the platforms I use than deal with the masochism that is scripted dependency management. No thanks. All these comments here "Uhhh just use PythoN!" Yeah?

No, you get it. This is pure market segmentation. If you need that little bit extra, you’re forced to compromise, or to open your wallet big time, and AMD is betting on people who “really” need that slightly extra oomph to pay.

If they had the Pro versions of the SoCs and 10GbE I'd be all over this. As it stands, no ECC, and no expansion slot for a better network card.
